A Lodgify alternative for hosts who don’t want to build a website.
Lodgify is a capable all-in-one tool: a website builder, a channel manager and a PMS you set up yourself and pay for monthly. If what you actually want is the website, built and run for you, here is how the two compare.
The short answer
Choose Lodgify if you want one system for everything (website, channel manager, messages, dynamic pricing) and you are happy to set it up and look after it. It does a lot, and it takes no commission on bookings.
Choose No Effort Rentals if you want a direct booking website and nothing to learn. We build it on your domain, host it, keep it updated, and the price for one home is $149 a year, everything included.
What Lodgify is
Lodgify sells four plans: Basic, Starter, Professional and Ultimate. The website builder starts on Starter; Basic is a lighter plan without it. Higher plans add automated messages (Professional), dynamic pricing (Professional and Ultimate) and task management for cleaning (Ultimate). Its channel manager connects to Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com through their APIs.
Lodgify says it takes a 0% booking fee on all four plans: you pay the subscription and keep your rental income. If you take card payments through Lodgify Payments, its page lists 2.90% + $0.30 for domestic payments.
Price, side by side
| Lodgify | No Effort Rentals | |
|---|---|---|
| Plan with a direct booking website | Starter and up (Basic has no website builder) | Every plan |
| Price for 1 property | Starter from about $26 a month billed yearly, about $24 billed every two years | $149 a year |
| Same, over a year | About $312 (yearly billing) | $149 |
| Commission on bookings | 0% booking fee | 0% |
| Card payments | Lodgify Payments: 2.90% + $0.30 domestic, 4.40% + $0.30 international | Your own Stripe account: Stripe’s standard fee (2.9% + 30¢ for US cards) |
| Free trial | 7 days | 30 days |
| Setup fee | None | None |
Lodgify’s own pages are not entirely consistent: its comparison page says Starter “starts at $26/month” billed annually, while the pricing page’s data shows about $24 a month for two-year billing. Either way, one property on the first plan with a website costs roughly twice our yearly price, before any extras.

Where Lodgify is stronger, and where we fit better
Lodgify is stronger at
- Channel management through the platforms’ APIs, including Vrbo
- Automated guest messages, dynamic pricing and cleaning tasks on the higher plans
- Doing everything in one system, if you like running one
- A builder you can change yourself, any time
We fit better if you want
- A site built for you, with nothing to set up
- One yearly price, $149 for one home, with your domain and email included
- A 30-day trial on your own site, not on an empty builder
- A person who answers when something needs changing
Things we don’t do, so you can judge fairly:
- No API channel manager: calendars sync through iCal, so a platform can take a little while to see a new booking
- No dynamic pricing, no cleaning schedules, no owner statements
- Guest messages from Airbnb and Booking.com stay in their apps
- Bigger changes to the site go through us rather than a builder you drive
Lodgify vs Hospitable
Hosts who look at Lodgify usually look at Hospitable too. They come from opposite ends: Lodgify started from websites, Hospitable from automating guest messages and operations. Hospitable itself says “While Lodgify is great for websites”, and positions itself as an operations-first platform.
| Lodgify | Hospitable | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is priced | Per property, four plans | Base price with properties included, then a price per extra property; free Essentials plan |
| Direct booking site from | Starter, about $26 a month (1 property, billed yearly) | Professional, $59 a month (2 properties included) |
| Fee on direct bookings | 0% (payment fees apply) | 1% on Direct Basic, or 3% host + 4% guest on Direct Premium |
| Cleaning and tasks | Ultimate only | Every plan |
| Smart locks | Add-on, $7 per lock | Included from Professional (2 devices per property) |
| Dynamic pricing | Professional and Ultimate | From Host |
| Known for | Websites | Automation and guest messaging |
In short: Lodgify is the cheaper way into a direct booking site and takes no fee on it; Hospitable gives you more automation for the money but puts its Direct site on the higher plans and takes a percentage of each direct booking. Our Hospitable Direct comparison goes into its fees in detail.
Switching from Lodgify
If you have a Lodgify site today, send us the address. We rebuild it with a booking engine underneath, connect your Airbnb and Booking.com calendars, and point your domain to the new site when you are ready. Your platform listings don’t change. Moving an existing site is quoted separately; the yearly plan price stays the same.
Questions hosts ask
Is Lodgify free to use?
No. Lodgify has a 7-day free trial, then a monthly or yearly subscription that depends on the plan and the number of properties. It doesn’t take a commission on bookings.
Does Lodgify charge a booking fee?
Its pricing page says 0% booking fee on all four plans. Card payments through Lodgify Payments have their own processing fee.
What is the cheapest Lodgify plan with a website?
Starter. Lodgify’s comparison page says it starts at $26 a month billed annually for one property, as of October 2026.
Can I keep Lodgify and use your site?
You could, since our site syncs calendars through iCal, but most hosts who switch do it to stop paying for two systems.
