Guests let themselves in. You stop handing out keys.
Smart Stay connects your Wi-Fi smart lock to your booking site. Every booking gets its own door code, emailed to the guest before arrival and gone after checkout. Your thermostat and noise sensor follow the bookings too.
Works with keypad locks from Schlage, Yale, August and Kwikset, Honeywell Home thermostats and Minut noise sensors. Early access for No Effort Rentals hosts.

What you stop doing.
Keys, codes, batteries and the thermostat are small jobs that land on the worst days: a late flight, a guest who can’t find the lockbox, a code you forgot to delete, a house left at 80°F all week. Smart Stay does them for every booking, the same way every time.

An example booking at Fireside Lake House, three nights in October. Check-in at 3:00 pm, checkout at 10:00 am, local time.

A guest books your place
A code is made for that stay and sent to your lock. It will only work during those three nights.

Three days before
Your guest gets a short email with the code and the times it works. It comes from your site, under your name.

The heat came on at 1:00. They type the code and walk into a warm house. No app, no key, no phone call to you.

The code stops working and the thermostat goes back to its empty-home setting, on their own. If the booking is canceled or moved, both follow.

Our demo host has two homes set up: a lake house in South Lake Tahoe with a lock and a thermostat, and a Nashville townhouse with a gate lock and a noise sensor. Sign in with the demo key, open Smart Stay, change a rule and watch the codes and the heating follow.
Nothing in the demo is real, and it all resets overnight, so click anything.

What hosts ask us first.
Do I need new locks?
Probably not. If your lock has a keypad and its own app on Wi-Fi, like Schlage Encode, Yale Assure, August or Kwikset, it can likely work with Smart Stay. Tell us your model and we’ll check.
What if the Wi-Fi drops?
Most keypad locks keep their codes on the lock itself, so a short outage doesn’t leave anyone outside. If a lock goes offline or its battery runs low before an arrival, we tell you in time to fix it.
And my Airbnb guests?
Airbnb already sends codes for some locks, and you can keep using that. Or we make codes for your Airbnb and Booking.com stays too, and you paste them into the platform’s chat.
Do guests need an app?
No. They type a code on the keypad. That’s it.
Which thermostats and sensors?
Honeywell Home Wi-Fi thermostats and Minut noise sensors, plus others our device partner supports. Google Nest and ecobee aren’t open to new connections right now. Tell us your model and we’ll check.
Can guests change the temperature?
Yes. The house starts at your guest setting, say 68 to 75°F, and they can adjust it. At checkout it goes back to your empty-home setting.
Cameras or microphones?
No cameras. A noise sensor measures how loud it is, never what is said: nothing is recorded. Guests should know it’s there: Airbnb requires it, and local rules may too. We give you the sentence to add to your listing.
What will it cost?
It will be a yearly add-on to your No Effort Rentals plan. Hosts on the early-access list hear the price first, and joining the list commits you to nothing.
We’ll write as soon as your lock can be connected. If we have a question about your model, a real person will ask.
